Journal Entry

These 4 techniques help me take better pictures because they aren't just black and white. It's not just a photo of a flower or a bike, it adds background and positioning to help the viewer focus on my subject in my point of view. This was easy for me because I walked around this beautiful campus, full of beautiful scenery. It helps make my photos better because they come out more interesting than just a plain old photo.

Rule of Thirds Journal Entry

The Rule of Thirds are 4 imaginary lines going through your photo (2 vertical; 2 horizontal). These lines are designed to help target your photos and have balance. I think this technique is very helpful because seeing the lines there really help me balance my photo. It's easy because the lines are there to balance out my picture. It balances my photo so that my subject has background and is a lot more interesting than it actually is.
