Composition: Pattern (Breaking Pattern)

Composition: Pattern (Journal Entry)

Pattern is a series of shapes, lines, and/or colors that are next to each other. The repetition is what makes it a pattern.

This was easy because there's a lot of cool patterns in the classroom of Mr. Smitheran.

Patterns provide depth at times that make interesting pictures. It's also complimenting to your eyes because it's easy to look at.

Composition: Texture (Journal Entry)

Texture is the allowance of feel to your picture. A way that your viewer can mentally touch what you're seeing in your picture.

This is easy for me because I can just close my eyes, feel around for strong texture, and then capture it with my camera at the right angle.

This technique helps me because it's easier to focus my subject onto the texture other than the object itself.

Composition: Color (Journal Entry)

Color is the appearance that an object has because of the light reflecting off beautiful colors using UV rays.

This is not difficult because color is all around us. If you understand the idea of color, it is very easy to take a picture.

Color makes my photos better because it is very popular amongst most people. You can make them fall in love with your photos even if it's a bad picture, as long as you have nice colors.

Composition: Light (Journal Entry)

Light is an important element in photography that adds a whole new look on your image.
This is kind of difficult because I don't completely understand the idea of capturing the light and how to use it as the subject of my image.
It makes my photos better because light showing through the image is really cool and different than most pictures.

Alphabet Scavenger Hunt (Journal Entry)

Because of this assignment, I am now able to see my environment better and clearer because of noticing the letters of the alphabet in the trees and ground and my surroundings.

Composition: Symmetry, Journal Entry

Symmetry is having two of something, whether it be human or nature or light or building, mirror the other, helping create balance in your picture. This idea is easy because there is symmetry all around us, you just need to find the right angle. Symmetry creates balance in my pictures creating a different view of what I'm capturing.
